Sometimes the best comes from afar...

Next follows an article of the National Foal Auction Prinsjesdag. More information on the pregnancies and foals for sale produced at the Animal Embryo Centre will follow later on this website.

The day of the Queen’s Speech is the day, Ermelo is the place and The National Foal Auction Prinsjesdag is the chance to buy into the future of international top sport and breeding. For this occasion, the selection committee of The NVP has brought together the best of the best; even if the best of the best has to come from afar.

Earlier we concentrated our attention on top breeders Haras de Hus: they have filled expectations by offering three extremely interesting products. Also the Holstein top breeder Otto Boje Schoof has honoured us with his presence at the Prinsjesdag Auction: the breeder of Dobel’s Cento, Olympic Larius, Nekton, Chica’s Way, Carassina etc. is bringing two of his best colts. The cream of Holstein breeding will be for sale in The Netherlands the third Tuesday of September.

The pedigree of cat.nr. 63 My Way is just breathtaking. The name says it all: this son of the phenomenal French state stallion Mylord Carthago HN goes back, via the Cassini I daughter UT Wodka, to Wodka II- dam to the licensed stallions Conway I and II (sire: Caretino), Clearway (sire: Capitol I) and Arturo (sire: Athlet Z). And the Lord daughter Wodka II is also dam to the international show jumper Chika’s Way (sire: Caretino) of Janne-Friederike Meyer and the Hamburg Derby winner Carassina (sire: Concerto II) of Thomas Kleis.
This Holstein stock 1916 has amassed fame thanks to international show jumpers such as Coeur de Lion (sire: Coriano) of Max Kühner, Curtis (sire: Coriano) of Piet Raymakers and Controe (sire: Contender) of Marco Kutscher.

Together with co-owner Ton Vullers, the Schoof family are also sending in cat.nr 9 Cosimo. Otto Boje Schoof bred Conway II himself, the sire of this gorgeous colt. Conway is the full brother to the Grand Prix show jumper Chika’s Way of Janne-Friedrike Meyer. Cosimo’s dam is none other than O-Contendra (sire: Contender), the full sister of the stallions Contendro I and II.
O-Contendra also produced one of the biggest young talents of Holstein show jumper breeding: Chijioke (sire: Casall) with whom, this year, Clarissa Crotta won the Country Championships for four year old show jumpers in Elmshorn. Grandam Bravo is dam to the international show jumpers Caretano Z and Caretana BB.
The world renowned dam line of Cosimo- Holstein stock 104a- goes in a direct line back to the international show jumper mare Retina and produced other fine examples such as the silver EC medallist show jumper Corradina of Carsten-Otto Nagel.

  • You can use the ‘equitainer’ (to transport the embryos) and you can use special materials such as parafilm;
  • We will see to it that you have the correct forms for registry and regulations.
